Houpu's Skid-Mounted Hydrogen Station Debuts in EU, Enters Portugal!
Recently, Houpu Global Clean Energy Co., Ltd.(hereinafter referred to as "Houpu Global"), a wholly‑owned subsidiary of Houpu Clean Energy Group Co., Ltd., completed shipment of its 35 MPa All-in-one Hydrogen Refueling Container project for Portugal, with the equipment officially en route to Portugal. This milestone marks the first entry of Houpu’s complete hydrogen refueling‑station equipment into the EU market. Building on its prior achievements in Southeast Asia, the company has successfully rolled out its "Chinese integrated hydrogen refueling solution" to the high‑end hydrogen‑energy arena boasting some of the world’s most stringent standards, securing a material breakthrough in its internationalization strategy.
Plug and Play: Integrated Skid-Mounted Solution Redefines Station Construction Efficiency
Unlike the traditional European approach of decentralized procurement and on-site assembly, Houpu's integrated skid-mounted solution is designed in strict compliance with EU standards, with core equipment—including the compressor, dispenser, chiller, and control system—highly integrated into a single modular skid. On-site, the station only requires connection to a hydrogen storage system and water, electricity, and gas lines before it is ready for rapid commissioning. This design directly addresses the core demands of the European market: a small footprint, mobility, ease of disassembly and transport, and simple installation. It significantly shortens construction timelines compared with conventional station builds, offering an efficient, flexible, and highly competitive Chinese solution for the rapid deployment of hydrogen refueling networks in European cities.
The integrated skid-mounted hydrogen refueling station exported for this project fully meets the EU's stringent requirements for equipment safety, environmental performance, and quality, with core specifications already covered by multiple international certifications. MD certification has been officially granted, while PED and ATEX certifications have completed technical review and will be formally issued upon on-site installation and acceptance—ensuring full certification compliance before commissioning.
Proven Quality: Customer Approval Following On-Site Acceptance
In June of this year, the Portuguese customer made a dedicated visit to Houpu's final assembly production base to conduct a comprehensive and rigorous on-site acceptance of the equipment's performance specifications, manufacturing workmanship, and quality control. Following on-site inspection and testing, the customer spoke highly of Houpu's production capabilities and equipment quality, and expressed full confidence in continued cooperation between the two parties. A representative of the customer stated: "Houpu's integrated manufacturing precision and system response speed exceeded our existing perceptions of Chinese manufacturing. This solution will greatly accelerate our hydrogen transportation deployment plans in Portugal."
The main equipment has now arrived in Portugal for on-site installation. Following local commissioning and final certification acceptance, it will be officially commissioned to provide efficient, fast, and safe hydrogen refueling services for a wide range of vehicle types—including hydrogen fuel cell passenger cars and heavy-duty trucks—fully meeting end customers' commercial operating requirements and supporting the local transition to green transportation.
Global Footprint: Houpu's Hydrogen Refueling Equipment Achieves Dual Advancement
As a pioneer in China's hydrogen equipment exports, Houpu Co., Ltd. continues to accelerate the global deployment of its hydrogen energy products. From hydrogen dispensers serving the Paris Olympics, to complete hydrogen refueling equipment exported to Southeast Asian markets such as Malaysia and Indonesia, and now to integrated skid-mounted hydrogen refueling stations entering the EU, Houpu's products now reach multiple countries and regions across Europe, Southeast Asia, the Americas, Oceania, and East Asia.
